I'm a qualified counsellor offering individual and couples therapy in Thame, Oxfordshire and online.
Many people come to therapy when something in their life or relationships no longer feels manageable. You may feel anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in repeating patterns, or unsure why the same difficulties keep appearing. Within relationships, this can show up as distance, conflict, feeling misunderstood or struggling to reconnect.
My role is to help you slow things down and understand what is happening beneath the surface. Together, we explore the emotional patterns that influence your thoughts, relationships and reactions, creating greater understanding and lasting change.
I work relationally, which means I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is an important part of the process. My aim is to offer a warm, steady space where you do not need to perform, explain everything perfectly, or hold everything together. We work at a pace that feels right for you.
Alongside individual therapy, I work extensively with couples. Rather than focusing on blame or simply improving communication, we explore the patterns that keep couples feeling stuck, helping each partner understand themselves, each other and the relationship more clearly.
A particular area of interest is the lasting impact of early emotional experiences, including childhood emotional neglect, attachment difficulties, people-pleasing and self-worth.
Bringing these patterns into awareness often helps people respond differently to themselves, their relationships and the choices they make.
My approach is warm, thoughtful and gently direct. I will never rush you, but I will also help you move beyond simply talking about problems. My hope is that you leave therapy with a deeper understanding of yourself, stronger relationships and greater confidence in the way forward.
I offer sessions from my private counselling room in Thame, Oxfordshire, as well as online throughout the UK.
