• Arrange appointments
• Provide counselling services
• Maintain professional records
• Meet legal, ethical and professional requirements

I take reasonable steps to ensure your information is stored securely and protected from unauthorised access.

Electronic information is stored on password-protected devices and systems.

Where counselling is provided online, sessions may take place using Zoom or another secure video platform.

Clients are responsible for ensuring they access sessions from a private and secure environment wherever possible.

Information shared within counselling remains confidential unless:

• You provide consent for information to be shared
• There is a risk of serious harm to yourself or another person
• Safeguarding concerns arise
• Disclosure is required by law

As part of professional practice I attend clinical supervision. Client information discussed in supervision is treated confidentially and identifying information is minimised wherever possible.

Counselling records are normally retained for seven years after counselling has ended and are then securely destroyed.

You have the right to:

• Request access to personal information held about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request restriction of processing where applicable
• Complain about how your information has been handled
